A glamping tent, cabana or camping pod….?
We call them Tendas Toca, it is a true “outdoor living” glamping accommodation at the small eco holiday resort Quinta das Cantigas in Portugal.
They are two generous stays of over 12m2 each that together form one holiday accommodation (and therefore are not rented separately). They are derived from the English Pod, sturdy wooden holiday homes, only now more glamping and luxury, so good beds and private bathroom!
The Tendas Toca are a self-made design with our friend Joao Neves from minicasas Portugal. The tents have a wooden base with several layers of tent cloth as a roof. Together they can accommodate 2+4 is max 6 people.

You sit outside completely free on the covered terrace. Next to the terrace additional space in the sun with a hammock. You have a view of the mountains, the pool and the playground. There is a large dining table, BBQ and outside also a wood burning stove.
In the dark, the illuminated tent Portugal houses give a dreamy and atmospheric feeling! A place to be lazy, but also to discover the area; beaches , see , do and eat out !
Private kitchen and bathroom
Tendas Toca has an additional wooden building containing your private outdoor kitchen, your own shower and toilet. In front of the tent houses is a spacious covered terrace. Camping with a sense of luxury, glamping in Portugal!

Suitable holiday period
Glamping Tendas Toca are suitable from spring to summer holidays, of course also until the autumn holidays in the fall. Ideally suited for larger families with 4 children or 2 friendly couples. Come enjoy a wonderful climate!
Facilities
- A high-speed wireless Wi-Fi network is available free of charge.
- You have a private parking space about 50 meters from your glamping accommodation
- Filter coffee and Expresso cup machine, Hair dryer, electric supplementary radiator, wood stove, Refrigerator, Microwave, Private BBQ are also provided,
- You can use a communal freezer, washing machine and oven.
- Gas heater for a small fee
