We have 3 apartments in the main house, 3 detached houses and 4 unique glampings. All accommodations have at least 1 separate children’s bedroom but the toddler bed always fits in mom and dad’s room as well. Roomy enough!
One of the accommodations has a cork floor, great for little kids to play on. With toddler and preschoolers, cottages and glamping accommodations are in high demand. With babies, we always recommend the cottages or apartments. The terraces provide plenty of privacy. Some overlook the pool, others the playground or forest.
Besides, we speak the language and know our way around, so should you be concerned about your toddler or preschooler’s health, you are not alone. A safe feeling.

Toddlers and Preschoolers enjoy vacations at Quinta das Cantigas from many little things. That makes them relaxed on, perhaps their first, Portuguese vacation.
Present toys in the cottage or on the (common) terraces, a house cuddly toy as a friend in bed, water fun in the spacious 50 cm shallow area of the heated and (sometimes) covered children’s pool, watching guinea pigs and goats, and so on.
Already many “I’m two, so I say no” moments have taken place here at this vacation park with fine playgrounds, spacious private terraces or in our large play hall. Just let them do their thing, distract them with everything there is to do and it is enjoyment for parent and toddler. For safety, the entire property is fenced and, of course, so are the pools.
For convenience, for vacations with toddlers and preschoolers, we have toys, play rug, pee pads, see-through mattress, back carrier, baby carriage, wagon, bicycles, etc.

At the vacation park Quinta das Cantigas in central Portugal, not only toddlers and preschoolers enjoy their vacation, but the whole family. That is what the originally Dutch owners Maurice and Sandra made sure of. From their own vacation experience with now 2 big kids, they know that they have often missed this themselves. So it was a major focus in the creation of the holiday park.
Heated and indoor pool especially for baby, toddler, preschooler and their parents
Not 1 but 2 sustainably heated pools are available at the Quinta das Cantigas vacation park. One is more of a play pool with a “baby splash sitting depth” of 10 cm on one side and “toddler and preschooler fun depth of 50 cm” on the other. The other pool is the “deep one.”
Both pools are covered and are opened (partially) depending on the weather. So you can play well out of the wind or prevent too strong sun exposure while the kids play in the warm water. The water stream and water toys complete the fun. The parents often sprawl out by the playing kids in the warm water. Also the Jacuzzi and Sauna are great to relax for a while.

Vacation park Quinta das Cantigas is distinguished by its many free indoor and outdoor play and sports facilities.
With the toddlers you can go on the miniature golf course, the toddlers play marbles on it. With the little ones “play restaurant” or adventure swing in the play forest.
On the trampoline it is great to lie down with the little one or make the first jumps together. The preschoolers are already climbing the treehouse; the toddlers still have legs too small for the steps.
The nearly 400m2 activity hall lets all ages have fun.

Enjoy your vacation in Portugal with the whole family. For a young family, taking Grandpa and/or Grandma along is often an ideal combination. This way the young parents have some time for themselves and each other.
That gives some extra help and peace of mind. The toddler gets an extra cuddle from Grandma, the preschooler goes to play ball with Grandpa for a while, etc.
Grandpa and grandma are in another accommodation at the vacation park under the Portuguese sun or you are together in a large vacation home with adjacent spacious studio, where the grandparents can stay with their own bathroom and privacy. Also nice!

Afternoon naps that don’t work out or not being able to sleep at night (and not from the little one this time).

During the day the weather is nice but certainly not too hot because the climate of the Silver Coast is temperate. So enjoy playing and getting out there. In the evening it always cools down quite a bit, so sleeping well is going to work! As long as the toddler still takes a nap at noon, that’s fine in the cool houses or snug in the shade under a big tree!

Ever had “cold experience” on vacation in southern Europe?
How can you be “cold” in southern Europe? We are used to well-insulated houses and affordable central heating in Northern Europe. This is still quite unknown in the South, and therefore also in Portugal or Spain, Greece, etc.
Many vacation accommodations literally leave you out in the cold in the spring and fall.
Although the weather is often nice during the day, the chilly evenings and nights still regularly cause some chill in the house. So always bring a cardigan and if necessary…..and at the vacation park Quinta das Cantigas all accommodations have heating, which you may also use (…). Even the bathrooms of the houses and apartments have heating so that bathing with the little one does not become unpleasant.

Mosquitoes, flies and wasps are always annoying, at home and also on vacation in Portugal. We also have periods with mosquitoes. To prevent, at the vacation accommodations of the vacation park Quinta das Cantigas the windows are equipped with mosquito nets, each bed has a mosquito net and most front doors have a fly screen.

With us there is no obligation to buy from the honesty bar. Each accommodation has a fully equipped kitchen where you can prepare what your children like or take your own goodies to the common terrace or pool.
With enough enthusiasm, we organize a cozy pizza or Portuguese evening on the communal terrace. We also give you the tips for the best restaurants, take away and delivery addresses. By the way, especially with the little ones, go for an extensive lunch at noon, in the evening they do not open until 7:30 p.m. at the earliest. Then you can light the BBQ at your own convenience.

- We have several hiking trails in the immediate area. Take the toddler and preschooler in the back carrier, baby carriage or wagon.
- Or drive to Alcobaça for a short walk through the quaint town. Visit the garden of love, the huge monastery and enjoy the various terraces next to several fun playgrounds. And you get the tip for the best ice creams in town!
- Visit Nazaré to check out the “biggest waves in the world,” you can take a small streetcar up the cliff to the Ford.
- Discover the salt pans of Rio Maior. Nice to look around, terrace and small walk around the saltworks.

Toddlers and preschoolers most enjoy the magnificent animals of the African continent, made life-size from a variety of recycled hardware. The park is big and you can me a train around should the little legs not want to.
- Dolphin watching, take a boat from the port of Nazaré to experience these magnificent animals up close.

Infinite play with sand and water, it remains a great delight for the little and big kids. So let your toddler or preschooler explore the beaches of the Silver Coast discover. They probably haven’t yet experienced how fantastic our beaches are, so we’ll leave that to you.
The most beautiful beaches on the Atlantic Ocean are known for big waves and strong currents. But not only that, we have several beaches with playtime fun for the little ones. Between 20 and 45 minutes’ drive you can choose from a range of beaches.
For example, the large shallow bay of São Martinho do Porto with also a mega large dune to enjoy climbing up and rolling down. Shallow streams that emerge on Vale Furado beach, play in the pools of water left on Parades da Vitoria beach. Cozy beach bars for snacks, drinks and especially ice cream complete the entertainment.
And for your visit to the beach, we have available for you: Surf suits and body boards, buckets, shovels, umbrellas, windbreak, etc.

That way you don’t have to stand in the long line for car rental at the airport, it’s great boarding a familiar shuttle service, and the first few miles in a strange car aren’t immediate in the crowded city. That’s relaxing arriving at the most baby-friendly vacation park in Portugal! Especially after a very early or late flight. Meanwhile, we ourselves rent a fully electric car to our guests. Ask about it!
